German Translations

ECP Books is interested in publishing works in translation from the German. The first translation we are working toward is Else Jerusalem’s Der heilige Skarabäus. Other translations, by modern and classic authors and poets will be forthcoming in the next couple of years.

Experimental Aviation

On December 17th, 1903 Orville Wright won a coin toss and was the first person to fly in a heavier than air powered aircraft. The Wrights researched everything that had been published about aviation they could get their hands on, but in the end, they were forced to accept that most of what had been written about flying and the craft that were designed to do it was incorrect. They had to resort to experimentation. The theme of ECP Books is experimentation, and experimental aviation is an area of interest. We are looking for writing that contributes to the understanding of the experimental aviation movement in the US and abroad, from designers and kit providers to builders and flyers.

Jazz

Jazz music is a quintessential American artform. ECP Books is seeking original books about jazz music: Reviews, fiction, non-fiction, liner note reprints.

Everything Else Is Everything Else, by Alfred Schwaid, contains several stories that reflect on jazz music. They are fiction and serve as an illustration for what ECP Books is looking for in jazz related fiction writing.
